Last minute quick trip

Brandon is quite the planner. He doesn't like to fly by the seat of his pants. So when he told me he would take me to Arizona for the coming weekend, I couldn't believe my ears. Brenna, my Mom, Dad and Grandma drove down from UT to stay with Brooke, Jimmy, Bryce and Gavin for their spring break. I called up Brooke and Brandon text Jimmy to let them know we were going to be showing up late Friday night & to make sure to keep a surprise from the rest of the family.

After work on Friday we got in the car and WITHOUT 1 single pit stop we drove from Temecula all the way to MESA, AZ! Can't say I want to try that again, but with all the traffic we hit in CA we wanted to try to make up some time. I made some cookies and we knocked on the door and when my family answered, their reactions were PRICELESS! I wish it would have been on camera because it was a PERFECT surprised face. Although we really only spent Saturday their, we couldn't have had more fun.

Could this face be any cuter? I don't think so.

Saturday morning pancake breakfast. The boys were fueling up to go out shooting guns and the girls and kids were getting ready for a hike.
We ALL made it to the top of the hill and all the boys (even Koda) had to be carried most of the way)!
Here is Gavin doing his afternoon pull ups!

We all met up for a delicious lunch at a place that had just been featured on "DINERS DRIVE IN & DIVES"! Since I am a huge fan of the show Brandon and I decided we had better try one of everything that was highlighted. We both ate the hamburger, onion rings, sampled a slice of Brenna's BBQ Chicken pizza and got a free sample of the Ahi Tuna slider.
Jimmy entered in the ONION RING EATING COMPETITION! He ate that entire basket of HUGE onion rings in under 2 minutes right after he ate lunch. It was quite impression to say the least. They even gave him a sweet shirt for entering.

dIt was a perfect day and I had a blast getting to spend time with the family!

Road Show

Our stake put on a ROAD SHOW based on a FAIRY TALE & one
of President Hinckley's "B's". We drew PINOCCHIO out of one hat
and "BE GRATEFUL" out of another. Now it was time for the script,
with a great road show crew and excited young men and women
we put on an AMAZING skit.

Here is the CLIFFS NOTES version of all our HARD work.

Pin---Nochio recieves his mission call to the Riverside, CA Mission. He is now officially " Elder Nochio."
He hopes he gets to meet Hannah Montana... ? and see the beach everyday

At zone conference he meets his missionary companion, Elder Cricket. As he becomes less GRATEFUL to be serving a mission, his tie grows and grows. (Especially when President Conshintz tells them the mission rules.)

All the while...Back at home, it is time for the girl friend to send off that dreaded DEAR JOHN LETTER to Elder Nochio. Can't blame her though she "CAN'T HAVE STRINGS TO TIE HER DOWN"!

His tie is at its longest! BUT WAIT! He has a "visitation from the Sister FAirYs."

The Sista Fairies help him realize he has been very selfish and needs to focus on doing the Lords work.

Thank goodness, He finds his GRATITUDE!!
