Brenna & Eli's Wedding Day 6-19-10

Me and Grandma all ready to head to the temple for the wedding. She ALWAYS looks so amazing and stylish.

Brenna and Eli were married in the Provo temple at 11:30 am. They were married by President Bateman who is the current temple president and the former President of BYU. It was an amazing sealing ceremony.

Brandon and I in front of the temple we were married in 5 years and 2 day ago.
The reception was held at the Lewis Residence (my mom's best friends backyard) from 6-9. The best way to describe the event was Casual Elegance.

My mom does flowers and with help of course made all the arrangements for the wedding. They turned out beautiful!

We took some pictures before guest started arriving for the reception. All of the bridesmaid wore matching dresses made by mom Aunt Carol. She also made my mothers dress which I don't think I have a picture of, but she was a knockout. All of Eli's friends wore matching gray suits with gray vans.
On the left of Brenna are the Woolstenhulme sisters and to her right are the Borup sister's.

Isn't this the most AMAZING wedding dress ever made? I am in love with it. I also had a short wedding dress but it wasn't quite this amazing. She looked stunning!

When the sun went down you can see the lights strung all across the backyard, it was really romantic.
Here are a few of the girls (my cousins kids) that helped out at the reception with keeping the buffet stocked and clearing away empty plates. Don't they look cute in their matching outfits. My mom, Carol-Lyn & Aunt Carol made the aprons for the girls to wear and then they got to keep them and the shirts (I found) as a thank you for helping out.
Instead of having a regular sign in book my mom hired a PHOTOBOOTH like the ones in the mall. There was a table full of funny cute props you could use to dress up in and then take 4 pictures. It printed out 2 strips with your pictures on them. One strip you glued into a darling photo book my sister made and wrote a note next to your photos. The other strip you got to keep, Brandon and mine turned out so awesome. I should scan it in so everyone can see.
Her wedding cake was SO DELICIOUS. I couldn't stop eating it. Honestly the BEST cake I have probably ever had.
You can't go to a mormon wedding reception without a candy station. It was my job to set up & decorate this table. I think it turned out perfect.
And if 2 kinds of cake and a huge candy table was not enough sugar there was a SHAVED ICE station. NOT just your average SNOW CONE either, it has a big scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom of the cone and sweet and condensed milk drizzled over the top. It was a huge hit.
I got half cotton candy half tigers blood and Brandon had half cotton candy half blue hawaii.
To go along with the YUMMY dinner we had freshly squeezed lemonade. For dinner there was all beef hot dogs catered by J-Dogs and homemade Baked Beans and Potato Salad. I should have taken a picture of the cute tins we used for the plates.

When Brenna and Eli left the reception, they rode off a on a YELLOW TANDEM bike with cans on the back and flowers in the basket on the front. The driveway was lined on both sides with HUGE fireworks and everyone had one of those 2 foot long sparklers. It was a little smoky when all the fireworks were going off at the same time, but it was really cute.

Grooms Wedding Dinner

Friday night Eli's family planned a great backyard pool party wedding dinner to start the celebration. They had it in my parents backyard which has never looked better after it was all decorated. The Borup family had pulled pork sandwiches, coleslaw, potato salad and spinach salad for dinner. For dessert she made little brownie sundaes in small jars and strawberry shortcake. It was really yummy.

Kim Borup (Eli's Mom) sewed all the table cloths and little napkin decorations. They are so darling, it makes me want to pull out my sewing machine and get to work. All her decorations and details made the party look so much fun.

Brandon and I were enjoying being outside since we are usually cooped up inside at work or school. The weather was PERFECT!
There were at least 100 people there. It was a great turn out and a blast to get to talk to so many family and friends.

Brenna's Batchleoretty Party

Brenna is the youngest of the 5 girls in our family so we couldn't let her get married without having a fun get-a-way SLEEPOVER with all the girls. To celebrate Thursday night we went up to Zermatt Resort and had some girl time. After we checked in to the villa, we immediately began decorating the place and making dinner.
All 5 sisters and Little Avery Sue were there along with Heather, Ashley, Chelsey Lewis & Chelsey Grace.

Brittany made those darling, yummy homemade cupcakes for dessert. We had mango chicken taco with homemade guacamole and chips with salsa.

After eating a really yummy dinner and a few honeymoon presents were given we went into the jacuzzi and then watched a chick flick. It was a great way to kick off all the wedding events!

Happy 5th Anniversary

It is hard for me to believe Brandon & I were married FIVE years ago. So much has happened in the last five years and it has really gone by so fast. I am so lucky to be married to such a terrific man. To celebrate our anniversary we went to eat at Magleby's Grill and Oyster Bar. It is one of our favorite places to eat in Utah.

SURPRISE! The gun came with an old military ammo carrying case and a sling.
It was also Jimmy and Brooke's Anniversary so Brooke and I were sneaky and bought the boys twin guns so they could go shooting. It is a Old Russian Rifle made for the war about 50 years ago.

Mormon Battalion

Brooke and Jimmy decided to take the long way to Utah before the wedding and stop in at our house for the weekend. We got a recommendation to drive down to San Diego and see the newly remodeled Mormon Battalion Historic Center.

The church did an AMAZING job remodeling this historic center. I really recommend EVERYONE goes to learn about what a HUGE contribution the Mormon battalion did for Southern California. It was really FUN for all ages and FREE.

Look at these flowers! They were so HUGE & BEAUTIFUL. I wish I had this bush in my yard.

After touring through the interactive museum we got to pan for gold.

They had a pioneer wagon we got to sit in and actually get a feel of what it would be like to use that at the means of transportation.

The boys are having a snack to tie them over until the pancakes get finished. I love these 2 boys.
