Pumpkin Patch Fun

Even though it is still 100 degrees here, fall has officially arrived! Over the weekend we went to a real pumpkin patch in Redlands. Brandon and I had never been to a pumpkin patch where you actually go out into the fields and pick your perfect pumpkin right off the vine. It was such a fun way to kick off the fun fall season. Besides having thousands and thousands of pumpkins they also have a darling boutique, food, a petting zoo and lots of fun activities for kids. I am excited to go there when it is all decorated with rows of trees for Christmas. I love the weekends but they go by way too fast.

Home Sweet Home

For Brandon's birthday my family bought him a plane ticket to Utah to go to the BYU football game. On Thursday night after work we flew home. We didn't get in until around midnight but most everyone was up waiting to visit. On Friday we woke up and went for a nice run to the temple and back. The weather was beautiful all weekend long. We all went to lunch and after took a nice drive up Sundance canyon to look at the changing leaves. It was still really warm when we got back home so Lincoln, Dad, Brandon, Scott Macdonald and I went swimming in the pool. That night we had a pizza party at my parents house.
On Saturday my Mom woke us up with the smell of a delicous homemade quiche. After we overate my dad, Toni and Brandon went to the gun store and my mom, Becky, Brenna and I went to do some shopping. The BYU game was so much fun and hot. We played Wyoming and ended up beating them like 45 - 0. Two shut outs for the cougars in a row (the first time since 1985). I love going to the football games, fall in Utah might be the best time of the year! Saturday night we had a big BBQ with a bunch of family and friends. Brandon did his magic on the grill and Carol-Lyn and I made homemade beer battered onion rings and LG made homemade blackberry peach ice-cream. YUM is all I have to say!!!
It was a fabulous weekend that flew by and I can't wait for Christmas so I can go home again.

Orange County Weekend

Yippie on Sept 12-14 Brandon and I met up with my mom, Brittany, Adam and Lincoln in Orange County. Lincoln turned 2 on Sept. 11th and they brought him out here to go to Disneyland. After work on Friday we drove down to OC and had the family meet us at our favorite pizza place, Haus of Pizza. The food is so delicious! After dinner Brittany, Adam and Lincoln went back to dinseyland to watch the firework show and Brandon toured my mom and I around to see his home town.
On Saturday Brandon had school so we went without him to the Irvine Spectrum mall and shopped for a bit. When the sun came out we decided to hit up the beach, I was so excited because we saw 3 dolphins. It was so cool, I had never seen dophin's in the wild before. Also BYU played UCLA at home and crushed them 65 - 0. It was a great a great game and win for the cougars. That evening we went to Hunington Beach and ate at Ruby's on the Pier. The rest of Adams family met us there and it was fun to get to hang out together.

Sunday we toured Brittany and Adam around Brandon's home town a little and then went over to an amazing mall called South Coast Plaza. This weekend was so fun and went by really fast. It is always hard to say goodbye, but the only thing that made it a little easier was knowing that next weekend Brandon and I are going to Utah!

Brandon's Birthday

Happy 26th Birthday Brandon! After work Geoff, Brandon and I went to Claim Jumper for dinner. It was so yummy, I had the turkey dinner and Brandon ordered the meatloaf sandwich. Afterward we came back to our house and ate boysenberry pie (Brandon's favorite) and opened presents. I am grateful for Brandon and hope he had a wonderful birthday.

Geoff gave Brandon some aviator sunglasses for his birthday. He is trying to imitate the picture of Kip from Napoleon Dynamite on his birthday card.

Football Season has begun

I can't believe summer has come and gone. Where did it go? I only made it to the beach once, which is a shame. Now it is back to school and that also means the football season has started. On Saturday BYU had their first game of the season. It was hard for Brandon and me not to be in Provo at the game. Instead, we went to BJ's restaurant and stayed until the end of the 3rd quarter. It is a really neat restaurant and their food is delicious. We listened to the rest of the game at home online. BYU pulled off a big win 41-17. A great way to start off the season!

That evening we met up with Geoff and his date Erica who was in town from DC. We went to a nice little restaurant in old town Temecula called Penfold’s. Unfortunately the food wasn’t very good so I was glad Brandon and I split a meal since we were not very hungry. After dinner we went to Pechanga and saw the Improv show. It was a really fun date.
